I joined rabbit as a part-time product designer back in May 2022 and returned full-time as a product designer after I graduated from ArtCenter College of Design. I've been involved in this long-term mission of redefining the way people interact with technology, and I'm fortunate enough to spearhead several self-sustaining projects in alignment with the goal.
As the only female asian designer, I recognized the importance of representation and diversity. It's a role I embraced wholeheartedly, striving to bring unique perspectives and insights to the table while also championing inclusivity and equality in our workplace culture. I was glad that I've been fully involved in the product design process of rabbit OS from scratch, taking ownership in developing and refining specific design scenarios.
In my time at rabbit, I've learned that innovation stems from the intension to design and a relentless pursuit of excellence. I felt grateful to be part of such a dynamic and forward-thinking team, and I'm excited to continue pushing the boundaries of possibility.

from my perspective, Crafting an AI-powered interface is more than just integrating advanced technology—it's about creating meaningful, intuitive, and emotionally resonant experiences for the users it serves.
At Rabbit, my approach to product design was deeply anchored in a philosophy that prioritized engagement, joy, and inspiration. I believed that AI should not only meet functional needs but also enhance the emotional journey of the user, making interactions both seamless and delightful.
The creation of a conversation-driven user interface system began with a rigorous process of flow development, postural studies of the form factor, and exploration of art direction. By understanding how various platforms and services influence user interactions and shape their mental models, our team collaborated closely to craft a scalable design system that transcends the limitations of traditional app-based systems.
Consistency was paramount in building a strong brand identity. Part of my role involves meticulously aligning design elements across products, websites, and marketing materials to maintain a cohesive brand experience. This included preserving the timeless, retro-inspired Scandinavian aesthetic that defined our brand. Every detail was carefully curated to ensure that our brand can provide a unified, engaging experience across all touch-points.

one of the key considerations I had when designing for the core marketing channel - company/brand website was to create strong brand awareness and compelling stories that could both resonate with potential customers and drive business outcomes. similar to my approach to designing rabbit os, my strategy began with a deep understanding of the users, ensuring that we connect with them on an emotional level.
Brand messaging was my primary focus, ensuring that the narrative conveyed across the website was not only clear but also aligned with the company's value. To establish Rabbit as a trusted and legitimate player in a new and competitive market, I restructured the website’s information architecture and designed sections to enhance customer confidence, making it easier for users to find the information they need and affirming their decision to purchase r1.
as an emerging brand, driving sales and conversions was critical. I strategically placed call-to-action buttons throughout the site, guiding users through a seamless journey. To maintain a recognizable brand presence, I crafted intuitive and engaging user flows, while ensuring the visual language was consistent, cohesive, and never overwhelming. This balance allowed the brand to stand out in a crowded market while providing users with a memorable and satisfying experience.

rabbithole is designed to be a personal journal for R1 users, with a seamless interface for retrieving past conversations and tracking activities. The core scenario defined by my team and myself was to empower users to navigate and manage their accounts effortlessly.
My approach to consolidating these functions into a unified web interface involved creating a clear rubric for information hierarchy, content clarity, and cross-product consistency. I focused on developing a navigation system that allows users to do way-finding quickly and easily. This involved organizing content and features thoughtfully so users could efficiently search, download, and delete journal entries, as well as make adjustments based on their needs. In addition to streamlining functionality, I emphasized presenting information in a straightforward way to minimize cognitive load and help users make informed decisions. I also paid close attention to the design system to ensure a consistent experience across different platforms, maintaining alignment with the core Rabbit branding.
Beyond delivering design work centered around my domain knowledge in user experience and product design, I have also engaged in a diverse range of campaign-oriented design projects, including crafting promotional content for social media platforms and developing event-related assets for high-profile occasions like CES, pickup parties, and quarterly updates. In these roles, I consistently embraced an exploratory and curiosity-driven mindset, always seeking innovative approaches to enhance the impact and reach of our campaigns.
